During our tour led by professor Stefan, we walked most of Brussels and learned very much about the city’s as well as Belgium’s rich history. The photo in this post is of the house karl Marx lived in while in his short stent with other exiled socialist in Brussels. A house across the street hosted many meetings as well as the writing of Marx’s communist manifesto. Dating back to the 15th century, Brussels has been a home for many important people in history as Belgium has played a role in many political and colonial events in world history.
